Sources on May 14 indicate that Italian soccer journalist Paolo Baggaggia said that Kvaratshelya does not intend to work with the
Napoli, capital of Campania region of Italy
contract extension, and Pioli is currently the most likely candidate to take over the Napoli head coaching job.
Regarding the future of Kvaratskhelya, Paolo Bagiggia said, "Kvaratskhelya's contract expires in 2027 and, as far as I know, at the moment he does not intend to renew it. But that doesn't mean that he wants to be sold, and to be honest, at the moment his agent hasn't made any proposal to Napoli."
Responding to Napoli's upcoming managerial change, Paolo Baggia added: "So far, Pioli is closer to the Napoli managerial position than Gasperini. I was also advised to try not to put my hopes on Conte. After the UEFA Cup semi-final win over Marseille, Atalanta president Perkasi has spoken clearly about Gasperini's future and it's clear they won't tie him down. But I would say that Pioli is closer to Napoli because President De Laurentiis and Napoli have not yet convinced Gasperini to leave Atalanta."
Regarding the last round of Serie A match in which Napoli lost 0-2 at home to Bologna, Paolo Baggia commented, "Bologna also showed their level at Napoli's home ground, and Motta showed his coaching ability. Juve and Bologna qualified early for next season's Champions League in two different ways, Juve didn't play well and they also lost their aggression and determination, which is a very serious problem."
