Slotter has confirmed that he is on the verge of becoming Liverpool's new manager, but there are still a few details to be worked out. He plans to bring his coaching team from Feyenoord to Liverpool, including the trio of Hulshof, Renning and Peters. But with Hulshof set to be assistant to Netherlands national team manager Ronald Koeman during Euro 2024, Liverpool want him to start working for the team on July 1, which adds some complexity.
Liverpool have agreed to pay Feyenoord £11m in compensation but have been told they will need to pay an extra £2m to Sloter's assistants.
Slot told Dutch journalists, "There are a number of reasons why my coaching of Liverpool has not yet been announced, but rest assured that things will come to fruition soon and some issues just need more time to be dealt with."
Meanwhile, longtime Liverpool goalkeeping coach Johan Achterberg has decided to follow Klopp out of the door, and he could join Steven Gerrard's coaching staff at the Saudi Dammam collaborative club. As a result, Slot are currently looking for a new goalkeeping coach.
