The owner of Chelsea, Abramovich, has been sanctioned by the British government and is no longer able to pay for his staff's food. The British media has reported that the Abbott security team has drastically cut back on expenses and tightened up the conditions of food and accommodation, and that the staff have to give money to their own employees to buy TVs, wifi, and even toilet paper, which Abbott is unable to afford.

Reportedly, after Abu was sanctioned, all British assets, including Chelsea, housing and other assets have been frozen, Chelsea can only operate on a limited basis, but the rest of the expenditure has been tightened significantly, and its security team is the most serious problem, and a lot of expenditures have to be paid for by the employees themselves.

Abu's security team is actually arranged by a British company, which is responsible for the safety of his ex-wife Irina Malandina and their five children in the UK, at a cost of up to 400,000 pounds per month, with Abu's ex-wife taking care of some of the bills as she is unable to pay.
