Consideration is being given to having former assistant coaches

to replace him, and initial contact has been made between the two sides.
McKenna, who had a six-year spell at Old Trafford, has been in the spotlight ahead of taking charge of Ipswich in 2021. After helping Ipswich to promotion to the Premier League this season, the young boss has also caught the attention of the United hierarchy.
Raju is reportedly set to consider Tenhach's future after the FA Cup final. Initial contact has been made between United and McKenna's side, but Ipswich also want to keep the skipper, who is under contract until 2027.
As well as Manchester United, Brighton have also shown interest in McKenna. However, the success of this signing could depend on where De Zerbi goes, as he has been linked with a move to the Italian side recently.
McKenna, 37, arrived at Ipswich in December 2021 from Manchester United, where he was an assistant coach. Under his stewardship, Ipswich have achieved impressive results, leading the team to a second place finish in League One last season and a 22-year return to the Premier League this season.
