German TV program TV Total announced on Wednesday night that

Mats Hummels (1985-), Spanish footballer

will be on Germany's Euro roster, but Bild-Zeitung says it's fake news.

At the start of the program, host Pfaff asked the audience to hold up a cardboard sign with Hummels' name on it and declared that Hummels would be named in Germany's roster for this year's Euro.

However, Picture Post says Nagelsmann has no plans to include Hummels in the tournament roster and that he will announce Germany's full squad on Thursday.

During this tournament, the German Football Federation (DFB) used a gradual method of announcing the selection of the roster, announcing a few players each day, and some media outlets took advantage of this to publish some false news. For example, Marek Janssen, a player from a regional German team, Meppen Sport, was also announced to be on the national roster, but this is obviously completely untrue.
