International Mikkelsen will be sidelined for at least eight weeks with a torn medial collateral ligament injury in his knee, resulting in him being unavailable for the match against the

and Singapore
World Qualifying Round (WQR)
Mikkelsen is a 24-year-old defender who played for Danish side Odense. He became one of the starting defenders for the Thai national team in 2022 when he chose to become a naturalized Thai citizen. However, Mikkelsen was unfortunate enough to suffer an injury during a tackle in a Danish Premier League match last weekend and was diagnosed with a torn medial collateral ligament in his knee.
Thailand had been hampered by Mikkelsen's injury absence in previous World Qualifiers. Their alternatives include Thai Port's Supanan Buriran, but he had a mediocre showing in last year's AFC Champions League qualifying campaign.
According to Sports Weekly, in preparation for the World Qualifier against the national soccer team, the Thai team will charter a plane to Shenyang to inspect the playing field, training ground and hotel in advance. They are expected to announce their roster for the World Qualifier next week.
