In the last group match of Group B of the 2024 U17 Women's Asian Cup, China's U17 Women's Football Team met the powerful Japan team and lost 0:4, but still entered the knockout stage with the second place in the group.
Soon after the match started, Japan showed a strong offense. In the ninth minute, Momo Sato hit the post in front of the goal, and Wangai Fukushima added a shot to give Japan the lead. Thereafter, Japan continued to apply pressure while China struggled to find counter-attacking opportunities.
