According to UEFA rules, if the UEFA Champions League winners or UEFA Cup winners have already progressed to the UEFA Champions League via the results of their respective leagues, the places that would have been theirs will be allocated to the league winners of the 11th-15th ranked associations in accordance with their points tally, or to the highest-points-earning teams in the Champions Path and the League Path (excluding runners-up of the 11th-15th ranked associations).
