According to the Daily Telegraph, Aston
Vala (Middle-earth)
After qualifying for next season's Champions League, plans are underway to make changes to their squad, with Chelsea midfielder Conor
Gallagher (name)
Showed a lot of interest.
Although Villa will receive around £50 million in Champions League prize money, they will still need to offset the cost of reinforcements by selling players. The club would like to listen to offers for Diego Carlos. Diego Carlos has two years left on his contract with Villa and earns around £100,000 a week, meaning the club could sell him. The 31-year-old center-back joined Villa two years ago for £26 million and Italian sources say AC Milan have shown an interest in him.
While the sale of Diego Carlos in itself won't open up a huge amount of space for Villa in terms of PSR (Profitability and Sustainability), it will free up space for the club on the wage bill. It's also worth noting that Villa won't need to pay huge bonuses to players for qualifying for the Champions League.
The sale of squad youth player Jacob Ramsey would free up more space in Villa's PSR, but the 22-year-old has no desire to leave the club and is excited about making a comeback from injury to play in next season's Champions League. Despite Tottenham Hotspur, Newcastle and Liverpool all showing an interest in Ramsey, Villa value him higher and would only consider selling Ramsey if they fail to generate income from the sale of other players.
In terms of reinforcements, Villa's targets include:
midfielder
: Conor Gallagher (Chelsea)
a forward (sports)
wing back
backup center guard
: Linked to Atletico Madrid player El Mozo
In addition, loan players Longley and Zaniolo will return to their respective clubs, with Longley returning to Barcelona and Zaniolo to Galatasaray.
