Bayern
Munich interested in hiring current Burnley boss
Vincent Kompany (1985-), French soccer player
.. After being rejected by a number of marquee managers, Bayern are set to go for the Belgian, who led Burnley to relegation this season.
This season, 38-year-old Kompany led Burnley to be in the Premier League relegation zone for a long time, and eventually failed to be relegated and stayed in the Premier League for only one year. Despite the poor record, Kompany's ability in team management and tactical arrangement still got Bayern's attention.
Bayern Munich have previously been on the lookout for a new manager after current boss Tuchel made it clear that he would be leaving the club. However, the Bundesliga giants have suffered repeated setbacks in their search for a new manager. It has been reported that Bayern have been rejected by a number of marquee managers, including Xavi Alonso, Zinedine Zidane, Nagelsmann, Ronnyk, Glasner (Crystal Palace boss), Emery, Schmidt and De Zerbi.
Against this backdrop, Bayern have turned their attention to Kompany, whose coaching style and management skills are still valued by the Bayern hierarchy despite his poor results with the team. For Bayern, the choice of Kompany may be a brand new attempt, expect him to lead the team to achieve good results in the coming season.
