On May 22, Serie A officials announced the shortlist for the league's best striker of the season on their Twitter account. Surprisingly, Inter Milan striker Lautaro Martinez and Junior Thuram failed to make the cut.

Finalists for the season

Best striker in Serie A

The three players are:

Paul.

Dybala (name)

(Roma): 13 goals

Raphael.

Leo (name)

(AC Milan): 8 goals

Dušan Vlahović

(Juventus): 16 goals

Despite their performances, the following two Inter Milan strikers failed to make the shortlist for best striker:

Lautaro Martinez

: Scored 24 goals this season to help Inter win the Serie A title.

Marcus Thuram

: Scored 13 goals this season and also made a significant contribution to Inter's title win.

Lautaro Martinez and Junior Thuram had a great season, especially Lautaro, who not only led the team in goals, but also showed the ability to attack at key moments in the game many times. Their fall from grace has sparked heated debates among fans and commentators alike.

In contrast, Dybala, Leo and Vlahovic were selected for their own reasons. Dybala has scored fewer goals than Lautaro, but his performances and technical characteristics have still contributed greatly to Roma. Leo only scored 8 goals, but his overall performance and influence on the team cannot be ignored. Vlahovic, on the other hand, continued to show his scorer's instincts with 16 goals.
