May 23 (Bloomberg) - The Daily Mirror writes about Liverpool manager
Klopp (name)
And the legendary Manchester United coach
Ferguson (surname)
The relationship between the two men is described as close and respectful.
Although Ferguson's loyalty to United was unquestionable, it didn't stop him from developing a deep friendship with Klopp. Despite Manchester City and Liverpool crushing United for much of his retirement, Ferguson's respect for Klopp was obvious.
In the last week of Jurgen Klopp's stay at Liverpool, he arranged a meeting with Alex Ferguson. After taking part in a question and answer session with club staff, Klopp revealed that he couldn't stay for dinner as he had an appointment with Ferguson. The pair had dinner, which Klopp described as a "wonderful evening", the result of years of mutual respect between the two men.

Not only Ferguson, but Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola also expressed his respect for Klopp. He said in an interview, "I will miss him a lot. Jurgen was an important part of my life, at coaching level he took me to a new level and we had a lot of respect for each other."
Guardiola added: "I have a feeling he'll be back. Thank you for mentioning his words, but he knows how much support the club gives me, otherwise I couldn't do it on my own, and I'm humble enough to understand this."
