Slaughter
's former assistant, Pushchych, spoke highly of Sloter in a telephone interview with the newspaper. Pushchych, who is currently the head coach of Ukraine's Shakhtar Donetsk Miners, was Sloter's assistant in Holland for five years and the two had a close relationship.
We worked together for five very successful years and it was a fantastic time," said Pucic. Slot was always focused, he was very detail oriented, had a lot of in-depth thinking about the game and was an amazing coach, which he proved both in Holland and in Europe. Slot was calmer, always interacted well with people, very respectful of the fans, if you don't see him rushing to the stands to celebrate with the fans, it doesn't mean he wasn't passionate enough, everyone and every coach is unique in their own way."
