Bayern Munich has officially announced that Vincent Kompany, 38, is the team's new manager under contract until 2027. To sign Kompany, Bayern paid Burnley €12 million in liquidated damages.

In an announcement, Bayern Munich said, "We are pleased to announce Vincent Kompany as the team's new manager under contract until 2027! Kompany, 38, played as a center back during his playing days for Anderlecht, Hamburg and Manchester City, and is the legendary captain of Manchester City and Belgium."
