Italian national team boss Luciano Spalletti attended a press conference ahead of the national team warm-up match against Turkey.
The Italian national team is currently preparing for this summer's Euro, and at 3:00 a.m. Beijing time on June 5, Italy will play a warm-up match with Turkey. Spalletti began by saying, "I see that the team is working very seriously and carefully and we are on the right path. The Turkish national team is very strong and talented, I know their manager Montella very well and it will be a tough and important game considering the preparations we still need to take. We travel to Dortmund, Germany in a week's time and I'm very excited."
This comes after Italy's top two center backs, Acerbi and Scalvini, announced that they would miss the Euros due to injuries, while Juve center backs

Being recalled to the national team. Spalletti went on to say, "I'm going to give Acerbi and Scalvini a hug to console them, but everyone who was able to come here did their best. Gatti will be named in the final 26-man squad and will join us in Germany for the Europa League."
The Italian national team has now announced a 29-man preliminary squad, with 14 players who have made fewer than 10 appearances for the national team, a young but inexperienced national team. In response Spalletti noted, "One of the legends invited to the national team today said 'If you can't accept the challenge then either you won't be able to play or you'll lose.' We will see how they respond to those challenges."

Previously banned for a long period of time for gambling, he was not released from his ban until the last two rounds of the Serie A season. But Spalletti immediately called up Faggioli to the Italian national team, explaining: "I called up Faggioli because I was happy to bring him. It's a crucial day for him and he has to give an answer on the field. Also, you always say that players get tired after playing a season, but Fagioli is full of energy and vitality at the moment, he always trains hard and everything is watched closely, so we know how far and how long he can run. It's not a question of sympathizing with the players, I do have the stats to make an objective assessment."
