La Liga's Barcelona advanced to the last eight of the UEFA Champions League 2023-2024 season with a 4-2 aggregate win over Serie A's Napoli 3-1 at home in the second leg of the UEFA Champions League quarterfinals on March 12, local time.
 

  Napoli threatened Barcelona's goal in the first two minutes of the match, with a shot from Mertens hitting the post and bouncing out, showing their strong desire to attack. However, Barcelona soon stabilized the situation and opened the scoring in the 10th minute with a corner kick. Rakitic fired in the ball and Langrée headed into the net to give Barcelona a 1:0 lead.

  In the 23rd minute, Barcelona extended the score to 2:0, Messi brought the ball into the penalty area on the right road, faced with a number of players, he showed excellent personal skills, once lost his balance but still out of the siege, fell to the ground and poked the ball into the lower left corner of the goal. This goal fully demonstrated Messi's breakthrough ability and shooting skills.

  Messi had also scored a goal after that, but it was canceled by the video referee for handball in the first place. Nonetheless, Barcelona maintained control of the game. In the first half of extra time, Barcelona continued to extend their lead. Messi was kicked by Coulibaly in the box and the referee awarded a penalty kick. Suarez took the penalty to make it 3:0.

  However, Napoli didn't give up. They quickly got a goal back as Rakitic brought down Mertens in the box and Insigne took the penalty to bring the score to 1:3. This goal gave Napoli hope of equalizing the score.

  Neither side scored again in the second half. Napoli had two chances to close the gap, but Milik's goal was disallowed for offside and Lozano's header hit the frame. Despite Napoli's efforts to catch up, Barcelona's defense was solid and didn't give their opponents too many chances.

  In the end, Barcelona kept the 3:1 scoreline until the end.
