-Fernandez has made up his mind to leave the club where he played for many years. Currently, the new director of Saudi Arabia's Riyadh Victory FC, Fernando Yero, is making every effort to recruit Nacho to join the club.
Nacho has spent almost his entire career at Real Madrid, but after months of deliberation, he feels that now is the perfect time to embark on a new adventure. Although Nacho had previously set his sights on Major League Soccer (MLS) as his next stop, Riyadh Victory recently entered the fray, offering an attractive contract.
Not long ago, Riyadh Victory officially announced legendary Real Madrid captain Fernando Yero as the club's sporting director. Upon taking over, Yero's first task was to convince Nacho to join the club, promising him a big contract with a superior pay package than the MLS team.
Real Madrid have yet to receive a final response from Nacho. A meeting is expected to take place between the two sides shortly, where Nacho will be formally informed of the decision to leave the club. For the 34-year-old Nacho, winning the La Liga and Champions League trophies for Real Madrid as first captain this season was a major career highlight. His contract with Real Madrid is due to end on June 30th.
