Team manager Gareth Southgate spoke about Luke Shaw and Lewis Dunk in an interview.
Luke Shaw and Lewis Dunk have now been confirmed to play with England at this summer's Euros. However, Luke Shaw has not played an official match since February this year after suffering a hamstring injury. Similarly, Dunk missed Brighton's match against Manchester United with a calf problem.
Speaking about the two players, Southgate said, "Luke Shaw has done well over the last couple of weeks and we think he'll be ready in time for the second leg of the group stage. He has done well in training and has shown good pace. I think we can take a gamble on Luke Shaw and it's a gamble we have enough evidence to prove he's worth it."
Southgate continued, "Luke Shaw is a very experienced player and is left-footed with great ability to get forward. As for Dunk, he is unavailable for the game against Iceland but will be back in training next week and all the other players will be available for tomorrow's training."
