The president was pleased, while regretting the departure of former president Zhang Kangyang, but he is confident that the new owner will continue to elevate Inter as well.

Ranocchia began by saying, "I'm very happy to see Inter win the Serie A title this season, I have a lot of friends and a lot of memories here. It's really great to have the second star embroidered on, and I've experienced the feeling of winning the title with them. Inter's management has done a great job and the coach has brought help. Now I believe and hope that Inter will continue to grow. In the last five years we have made progress, which makes the team play with joy."

He then spoke about the future of Inter: "Yes, Inter can be stable at a high level, this is a team that aims to win and maintain a high level in Europe. Inter exited the Champions League too early this season, and I believe the club will continue to invest. Defense is the strong point of this Inter team, you can see that everyone is running hard to help each other, there is a good bond in the team and I hope that this aspect will be further improved."

The Oak Foundation took ownership of Inter FC in May, and in the first board meeting after the change of ownership, Marotta was appointed as the club's president. Commenting on the appointment, Ranocchia said, "I'm very happy, Marotta has done a great job since he arrived at Inter, he is one of the best soccer managers in Italian football. I'm happy for him, but also for Ausilio and Bachin, who have both done a great job."

Ranocchia also spoke about former president Zhang Kangyang: "I feel sorry for Zhang Kangyang and the Zhang family, who invested a lot of money to bring Inter back to competitiveness. Even though he was far away, whenever Zhang Kangyang came to the club, he was almost like one of us. But I'm sure the new owners can also continue on Zhang Kangyang's successful path; they are both corporate investors and continuing to improve Inter will only benefit us all."

Inter's current captain Lautaro's contract extension talks are nearing completion, on which Ranocchia said, "Lautaro has been through an incredible journey and the captain's armband has made him more mature. I'm glad they were able to reach an agreement. He has a great relationship with everyone, it's not a small thing."
