Remaining with the team for the upcoming season, they believe the player can play more of a role.
Barcelona
President Laporta said, "When Frick was at Bayern, he was interested in Felix. I am satisfied with his performances this season, but I think he should have excelled even more."
Felix performed well in the early stages of his loan spell at Barcelona, but virtually disappeared from the squad in the final stages of the season: he played a total of just 133 minutes in his last seven La Liga matches. He played 44 games (2,143 minutes) in all competitions throughout the season, contributing 10 goals and 6 assists.
There were two main reasons for Felix's disappearance in the final stages of the season: the fierce competition within the team, with his main rivals on the left flank, Rafinha and Ferran Torres, performing well; and his attitude and spirit, which showed everyone an active involvement in the defense and a willingness to sacrifice.
The departure of Xavi and the arrival of Frick is beneficial for Felix, as Frick is committed to continuing the team building philosophy endorsed by Laporta and Deco. In any case, the competition for the left wing position will once again become very intense in the 2024/25 season.
