Liverpool interest
Romano writes: "We've heard that Liverpool have made a bid for Ederson, but what I'm hearing now is that Atlanta haven't received any official offer yet. They know Liverpool are interested in Ederson, but they definitely want to keep the player at the club."
Atlanta's strategy
Atlanta's desire to keep Ederson is due to the fact that they may sell Koupmenas. Juventus are currently leading the battle for the Dutch midfielder. Romano revealed, "Juve have advanced negotiations with Koupmenas on personal terms, while Atlanta's idea is to sell only one player."
Liverpool's transfer strategy
Romano added: "Liverpool did recently make contact with Ederson's agent to find out what was going on, but that doesn't mean Ederson will go there. Liverpool are just exploring the market before deciding which players they will go after."
