Classic Battle in Dalian Football History

At 14:30 on a winter afternoon in 2004, the 22nd round of the first season of the Chinese Super League came to a close. Dalian Shide played away against Shenzhen Jianlibao, who won the championship two rounds ahead of schedule, and both teams were in the spotlight because of wage arrears.

Even though the title was already decided, Dalian Shide was eager to prove their championship strength, while Shenzhen Jianlibao did not want to meet the championship celebration with a defeat. Both sides are ready to show their true strength on the field.

At the beginning of the game, Dalian Shide attacked fiercely, while Shenzhen Jianlibao was mainly on defense, trying to find Li Yi's breakthrough through long passes. Both sides of the attack and defense conversion quickly, Shide attack slightly impatient, midfield scheduling is not smooth enough.

The pace of the game slowed down as the fitness dropped, and the final score of 2-2 was kept until the end. Dalian Shide was undefeated on the road and ended up fourth in the table with four defeats.
