Arsenal and PSV Eindhoven progressed in vastly different ways, joining the ten other teams who have already secured a place in the knockout stages of the 2023/24 Champions League. A game full of thrilling comebacks and plenty of goals came to an end on Wednesday night.

A place in the knockout stage of the league, which includes Arsenal and PSV Eindhoven. It was an exciting night with a game full of back-and-forth suspense and plenty of goals.
Group A
Galatasaray 3-3 Manchester United
The Turkish team came back twice to fight for a draw from a two-goal deficit, making the game a back-and-forth battle. United took a 2-0 lead at one point in the opening 18 minutes of the game thanks to goals from Alejandro Gancho and Bruno Fernandez. But Hakim Ziyech's free kick suddenly broke the deadlock and put the game in doubt. Scott McTominay again extended United's lead, but Ziyech scored again and provided the assist for Kerem Akturkoglu's brilliant equalizer.

Bayern 0-0 Copenhagen
Bayern's 17-game winning streak in the group stage came to an end by Copenhagen, who strengthened their bid for the second spot in Group A. The team's chances were sparse, and most of the chances belonged to the visitors. Chances were scarce in a game where most of them belonged to the Copenhagen side, especially on a cold night, while Mohamed Elieunussi was denied by two excellent late saves from Manuel Neuer.

Sevilla 2-3 Eindhoven
Ricardo Pepi's header in stoppage time helped Eindhoven beat Sevilla in a thrilling comeback in a close game. Sevilla's veteran defender Sergio Ramos scored a brace before Youssef Ennerciri's fine volley extended the lead. However, the momentum of the game changed completely due to two consecutive yellow cards for Lucas Ocampos, a brilliant overhead kick from Ismael Saybari and an own goal by Nemanja Gudelj before Pepi sealed a valuable victory.
Player of the Match: John Bakayoko (PSV Eindhoven)
Key stat: At 37 years and 244 days, Sergio Ramos became the oldest Spanish scorer in Champions League history, surpassing his former national team
Teammate Pedro Rodriguez (36 years, 89 days).
Arsenal 6-0 Lens
Arsenal won Group B in emphatic fashion as Kai Havertz scored the first goal of the first half after just 13 minutes. Gabriel Jesus Melo extended the lead to 2-0 as Bukayo Saka finished from close range, Gabriel Martinelli put in a curling effort, and Martin Erdgeorge fired home with a one-time overhead kick just before the end of the first half. Substitute Jorginho scored from a penalty kick in the 86th minute to complete the scoreline, meaning Lens could not finish higher in the group stage, while Facundo Medina hit the post.
Man of the Match: Gabriel Jesus Melo (Arsenal)
KEY STAT: For the first time, Arsenal had six different goal scorers in a Champions League match, from the group stage to the final.
Group C
Real Madrid 4-2 Napoli
Substitutions from Nicolas Paz and Joselu sealed victory for Real Madrid as the hosts finished top of Group C. Earlier, Napoli stunned the Santiago Bernabeu crowd just nine minutes into the game when Giovanni Simone scored from close range with a cushioned shot. Rodrigo's excellent curling effort and referee Boltonheim's powerful header turned the game around midway through the first half, while Andrea Franck Rumbia equalized shortly after the restart. However, Napoli were unable to withstand Madrid's pressure in the latter stages of the game.
Player of the Match: Bellingham (Real Madrid)
Key Stat: Real Madrid have won 16 of their last 17 Champions League matches against Serie A teams.
Braga 1-1 Union Berlin
Even though Braga only had 10 men on the pitch with just over an hour to play, with Siku Nyakat red-carded for a tussle for the ball against Kevin Behrens, they fought back to equalize and secure European soccer for next year. Robin Goossens slammed a snap shot into the goal three minutes before the break to usher in the first goal of the game, but six minutes into the second half, Alvaro Desjarons broke through and fired the ball into the home side's goal to level the scores. Berlin United are still without their first win in the Champions League.

KEY STAT: Braga ended a run of five consecutive defeats in the group stage of the Champions League.
Group D
Benfica 3-3 Inter Milan
Benfica are still in contention for Europa League qualification despite throwing away a three-goal lead to draw with Inter Milan. John Mario's hat-trick in the first half against his old club seemed to have put the hosts behind their rivals, but shortly after the restart Marko Arnautovic scored his first goal for Inter to give them hope. The stunning Davide Fratessi overhead kick goal closed the gap further before Alexis Sanchez's penalty leveled the scores. Benfica, who had Antonio Silva sent off late in the game, will play Salzburg for third place in Group D in Round 6.
Player of the Match: John Mario (Benfica)
Key Stat: John Mario scored just four goals in 69 appearances for Inter Milan, but it took him just 34 minutes to complete a hat-trick against them - the first hat-trick by a Benfica player in the Champions League era (group stage to final).
Real Sociedad 0-0 Salzburg
Alexander Schlagel made a string of stunning saves to block Real Sociedad's chances of scoring in a game dominated by the Spanish side. The Salzburg goalkeeper pounced on excellent second-half shots from Bernat Turrientes and Umar Sadiq, as well as a Jiuheiing free-kick with a folded path to the end of the game. This ensured a point for his side and puts them in a good position to lock up third place in Group D on Round 6.
Player of the Match: Alexander Schlagel (Real Sociedad)
Key Stat: Real Sociedad failed to score for only the second time in their last 19 UEFA club tournament group games.
