Recently, the news of the sudden investment interruption of Wuhan Three Towns Football Club quickly came into the spotlight, triggering a wide-ranging debate in the industry. Veteran media personality Yuan Jia commented on the issue, calling on the CFA to abolish the current neutral name policy as soon as possible.
Yuanjia revealed on his social media platforms that he had known the investors of Wuhan Three Towns and was well aware of their fervor for soccer. As a result, the team has reached three consecutive league finals and eventually won the Chinese Super League title in the past few years with huge investments. However, this investment break appears to have been made out of necessity.
Even so, Yuan Jia paid tribute to the investors of Wuhan Three Town. He pointed out that before the team faced dissolution, they were saddled with huge salary debts, but eventually they were able to complete the transfer of the team in a zero-debt state, which fully reflects the efforts of the owners. So why choose to transfer in a debt-free state? Yuanjia speculated that the move could mean that they had several contacts with outsiders, but no one was willing to take over.
Faced with this situation, Yuan Jia could not help but question who should be held responsible. He blasted Chen Xuyuan's gender-neutral name policy, arguing that without it, many former bosses might not have quit and there would have been a steady stream of new investors. Now, the lack of new investors has certainly exposed the shortcomings of the policy. He expects the CFA to quickly adjust the policy so that more Chinese Super League champions will not suffer the fate of dissolution.
