On August 30th, the soccer field is back in action with the drums beating for the quarter-final of the AFC Cup at 19:35 on the same day.The home battle will see Chongqing Tongliang Dragons, the second division rivals, go head-to-head with Super League giants Shanghai Shenhua in a heated duel. The lineups for both sides have been unveiled ahead of the match.

Chongqing Tongliang Dragons' starting lineup was revealed: goalkeeper No. 41 Zhang Haixuan, defenders No. 2 Yang Ting, No. 3 Hu Yongfa, No. 31 Zhao Hejing, and No. 57 Wang Shiqin, midfielders No. 8 Dilichati and No. 13 Chen Korui, and attacking lineups No. 51 Gong Yunyang, No. 53 Li Zhenquan, No. 17 Chen Jiaqi, and No. 50 Xiang Yuwang.

For Shanghai Shenhua, the starting lineup is as follows: goalkeeper No. 1 Ma Zhen, defenders No. 4 Jiang Shenglong, No. 5 Zhu Chenjie, No. 21 Cui Lin, and No. 32 Eddie, midfielders No. 7 Xu Hao Yang, No. 15 Wu Xi, and No. 20 Yu Hanchao, as well as No. 33 Wang Haijian, No. 9 Dai Weijun, and No. 36 Fernando.

Looking back at Chongqing Tongliang Dragons' path to the F.A.C.A. Cup: a 6-1 win over Rizhao Yuqi (Chinese Championship) in the first round, a 3-0 victory over Shijiazhuang Kung Fu (Chinese First Division) in the second round, a 0-0 draw with Chengdu Rongcheng in the third round, and a 4-2 win via penalty shootout. In the 1/8 final of Nantong Haimen Kejian, the team advanced with a score of 3-0. Shanghai Shenhua, a Chinese Super League (CSL) team, advanced directly to the 1/8 finals and beat Yunnan Yukun (CSL B) 2-1 in the third round before eliminating Zhejiang by a 5-1 margin in the 1/8 finals.

Chongqing Tongliang Dragons are currently leading the Chinese B League table and are yet to lose in their Chinese B League campaign this season. Shanghai Shenhua, on the other hand, are doing equally well in the Chinese Super League, currently sitting in 3rd place in the league.
