Tenders were opened and the league hoped to sell for no less than €700 million. However, despite the price being reduced to 500 million euros, no suitable buyer could be found, leaving the issue of the broadcasting rights unresolved.
The Ligue 1 federation is currently considering several alternatives. One option is the creation of a 100% Ligue 1 channel by beIN Sports and its exclusive distribution by French television group Canal+. Another alternative would be for Ligue 1 to build its own channel, with a subscription set at €25 per month and sold to all operators on a non-exclusive basis. By partnering with several distributors, Ligue 1 hopes to secure some minimum margin to ensure revenue from the channel's operation.
Despite the existence of these options, the Ligue 1 federation is wary of rushing to launch a self-built channel due to disagreements between beIN and Canal+. In order to find the best solution, the Ligue 1 federation is actively strengthening its ties with the market operators in the hope of finalizing a preferred partner.Orange and Amazon are considered as potential partners.

Fans will be waiting to see if this issue can be resolved soon.
