A goal-scoring battle ensued, with Ghana eventually claiming a crucial 4-3 victory over Central Africa.
Shortly after the game started, Jordan Ayew gave Ghana an early lead through a penalty kick. However, Central Africa responded quickly with a goal from Mafuta to equalize. Mafuta scored again in the 41st minute to help Central Africa get back into the game and lead Ghana 2-1 at the end of the first half.
Going into the second half, back-to-back goals from Jordan Ayew and Issahaku put Ghana back in front 3-2. Jordan Ayew completed his hat-trick in the 69th minute to extend the lead for Ghana once again. Although Mafuta also completed his hat-trick in the 90th minute to reduce the gap to one goal, Central Africa were unable to equalize as Ghana won 4-3.
After this match, Ghana tops Africa's World Qualification Group I with 9 points from 3 wins and 1 loss, while Central Africa is 5th with 4 points from 1 win, 1 draw and 2 losses.Great performances from Jordan Ayew and Maftah added to a close match.
