Trezeguet (name)
In a recent interview with Sky Sport Italia while attending a Juve youth soccer event, he talked about youth training, Juve's future and this summer's
European cup (e.g. soccer)
and other topics.
Juve FC Youth Training organized the Juve Academy World Cup with more than 900 children participating. Trezeguet was there to support them and recalled his own soccer dreams: "My dream at the age of 13 was to become a footballer. I'm happy for these motivated kids. Juve have taken a very interesting path in terms of youth training, and that's the most important thing. Now the game is on and the kids are happy."
As Juve's best ever outside scorer, Trezeguet has won several titles with the team and has experienced the Serie B campaign. He spoke about Juve's upcoming season: "It will be a very important season considering the Champions League and Club World Cup next season. Juve must be the protagonists, that's our history. At the moment there is a team that dominates Serie A, but Juve are trying to get back on the winning path. Juve fans always expect to do better."
On former captain Conte now coaching Napoli, Trezeguet said: "He has made an important choice. Napoli will meet a motivated Conte who will be the protagonist. Because wherever he goes, he's going to be the protagonist. I think it's a very important choice."
When asked if Juve have a new Trezeguet, he mentioned, "I think Vlahovic is a very important person for the team. But he must also improve and continue to grow. He's very young and I think the new Juve boss has to do a lot of things with him, he's a very attractive player."
Trezeguet recalled the glorious moment of the Euro 2000 final: "It was a special moment, not only for me personally, but also for the whole team. We managed to win the World Cup and then again in the following Euro, we were the first national team to achieve that. After that I joined Juve and it was really great."
