According to celebrity journalist Woj, former Lakers head coach Dalvin
Ham
Will return to his old stomping grounds of Milwaukee after being fired by the Lakers
Milwaukee Bucks (NBA team)
, serving as Rivers' chief assistant coach.
Ham was favored by several teams after being fired by the Lakers and ultimately chose to return to the Bucks. Ham spent two years as head coach with the Lakers, posting regular season records of 43-39 (seventh in the West) and 47-35 (eighth in the West), breaking into the playoffs both years. The first year, he was swept by the Nuggets 0-4 in the Western Conference Finals, and the second year, he lost again to the Nuggets 1-4 in the first round. In addition, the Lakers won the first midseason tournament under his coaching.
Prior to joining the Lakers, Ham was an assistant coach with the Bucks and won the 2021
championship. His return will bring valuable experience and a familiar tactical system to the Bucks, further strengthening the team.
