Officially the new head coach of Juventus, the two sides signed a contract until June 30, 2027. This decision marks a new era for Juventus.

In a statement, Motta said, "I am happy to start a new chapter at a great club like Juventus. Thanks to the club's owners and management, I will do my best to keep the Juventus flag flying high and keep the fans happy."

Earlier, Juventus officially announced Allegri's dismissal, with U19 boss Monterrey serving as interim manager to lead the team until the end of the season. Motta will officially lead the team from next season.

Motta, 41, played for Barcelona, Atletico Madrid, Genoa, Inter Milan and Paris Saint-Germain during his playing career.After retiring from coaching in Paris in 2018, he began coaching the Paris U19s.Motta became first-team manager for the first time when he took over at Genoa in October 2019, but was sacked after just two wins in 10 games in charge.

In the 2021/22 season, Motta became Spetsnaz's manager and led the team to a 16th place finish in Serie A, managing to avoid relegation.Motta took over Bologna midway through the season in September 2022, and led the team to a 9th place finish in Serie A last season, and this season led the team to a 5th place finish in Serie A, earning them a spot in the UEFA Champions League for the next season.
