In order to fully prepare for the qualifiers of the 2024 Asian U-16 Junior Football Championship, the Chinese Football Association (CFA) has announced that the fifth training session of the U-16 National Boys' Football Team will be held from June 16 to June 23, 2024 at the Shanghai Genbao Football Training Base. The purpose of this training is to further improve the ball skills and teamwork among the 25 outstanding players selected, and to fully prepare for the upcoming training in Osaka, Japan from June 23rd to July 3rd. The training is led by Japanese coach Kenichi Uemura, whose leadership and tactical arrangements are highly anticipated.
The 30-member training list announced covers elite young players from major clubs and youth academies across the country. These players have different backgrounds and technical characteristics, and they will go through rigorous training and evaluation during the training to earn a place in the national team. The players on the list have both potential and strength, and represent the future of youth soccer in China.
Youth training players from many famous domestic clubs such as Shanghai Harbour Football Club, Meizhou Hakka Football Club and Tianjin Jinmen Tiger Football Club were selected, as well as Chinese talents from overseas clubs such as Kobe Victory Ship Football Club. In addition, a number of players from Evergrande Football School and other youth training organizations were also included in the training list.
The U-16 National Boys' Football Team's training and coaching is an important opportunity for the players to show their talents, improve their skills and understand tactics.
