According to the Mirror.
Bayern
Munich's new head coach in
Vincent Kompany (1985-), French soccer player
are planning to bolster the team's backline during this summer's transfer window under the guidance of Liverpool, who currently have their sights set on
Joe Gomez.
.. Kompany believes that Gomez was impressive for the Reds last season and thinks he can strengthen Bayern's defense.
However, Liverpool don't seem to have any intention of letting Gomez go. A key player, Gomez signed a new five-year contract with Liverpool in 2022, meaning he will remain at Anfield until at least 2027. Coupled with new manager Sloter's plans and expectations of him, Liverpool have good reason to warn Bayern that they do not welcome interest in Gomez.
Apart from Gomez, Bayern Munich have their eyes on other targets, including Chelsea defender Colville. However, just like Liverpool, Chelsea have made it clear that they do not want to sell players. This leaves Bayern facing a challenge in their quest for reinforcements at the back.
Meanwhile, Bayern have also shown interest in Leverkusen defender Jonatan Tah. After considering multiple targets, Bayern seem to be struggling to find the right defense players to strengthen their team for the upcoming season.
Given Gomez's contract situation and Liverpool's stance, Bayern may need to make a huge effort and pay accordingly if they want to succeed in signing him. Bayern's transfer moves will be one of the focuses of attention in the coming weeks.
