The club has officially announced that 48-year-old legendary Italian center back Alessandro
Nesta
officially became the team's new head coach. Nesta played for Lazio and AC Milan during his playing career and won numerous honors during his time at Milan including two Champions Leagues, two Serie A's, two Italian Super Cups and two European Super Cups. In addition, he was a member of Italy's 2006 World Cup winning team.
Nesta's coaching career began in 2015 when he coached Miami FC. he then coached Perugia, Frosinone and Reggiana in Italy. After settling his contract with Serie B side Reggiana, Nesta officially signed for Monza today as the team's new head coach.
Monza's former boss Palladino left to coach Fiorentina and the club chose Nesta to replace him. The two sides signed a one-year contract that includes an automatic renewal clause after relegation. This is Nesta's first time coaching a Serie A team and marks a new chapter in his coaching career.
The Monza club and fans are looking forward to Nesta's arrival and hope that he will be able to lead the team to success in the Serie A.
