Qingdao Daily News, at the end of November, Qingdao Football Reform and Development Leading Group announced Qingdao's soccer development strategy for the "14th Five-Year Plan", aiming to deepen the reform of soccer in all aspects and help Qingdao's overall level of soccer to leap forward.
On November 28th, Qingdao Manatees locked up an early victory with a two-round advantage, marking the first time that Qingdao has achieved "full participation" in China's three-tier professional soccer league. At the same time, the first professional soccer stadium in Shandong Province, the Youth Stadium, is expected to be completed and put into use by the end of the year, providing a solid hardware guarantee for Qingdao to host international competitions in the future.
The strategic plan envisions a fruitful reform and development of soccer in Qingdao by 2025. By then, the soccer infrastructure will be more robust, with 1.5 soccer fields per capita and the ability to host six professional league matches. Professional soccer reform will be on track, with professional clubs in the Chinese Super League, China A, China B, futsal and women's soccer. There will be more than 30 youth training organizations, and the level of youth training and competitive performance will increase significantly. Men's and women's national teams will be flooded with Qingdao or Qingdao-based athletes. The layout of soccer matches will be continuously optimized to create an internationally renowned, domestically first-class soccer event system with Qingdao characteristics. There will be no less than 5,000 soccer tournaments at all levels each year, and the number of people participating in soccer activities in the city will reach 800,000, including about 400,000 young people.
In order to promote the reform of women's soccer, Qingdao has set up a specialized women's soccer management team and established one or two women's professional soccer clubs. At the same time, it has cultivated and developed a city women's soccer league and gradually improved the competition and youth training system. Relying on the resources of the National Youth Training Center, the construction has been accelerated and schools at all levels are encouraged to set up girls' soccer teams.
In the construction of soccer tournament system, Qingdao will build the city, district, social organizations three-level tournament system, the city held no less than 5,000 games per year. Strengthen the management of tournaments, optimize the public service mechanism, and actively bid for the Club World Cup, the World Cup and other international competitions, as well as the Chinese Football Association series of matches, to create one or two soccer brand events with international influence or national popularity.
In the construction of soccer field facilities around the masses, Qingdao has made soccer field facilities "close to the community" and "within reach" by increasing the number of venues, constructing professional venues, and strengthening openness. It is expected that by 2025, the total number of soccer fields at all levels in the city will reach 1,500, realizing the goal of 1.5 soccer fields per 10,000 people. These include 260 standard soccer fields, six professional league stadiums and four soccer training bases.
