In the late afternoon of November 30th, Celtic Women's Soccer's Shen Monroe, sitting in the cozy little living room of her dormitory, spoke with The Wave about World Cup viewing.
"In the dorms, we were like a bunch of crazy little fans, watching and shouting with a passion that was not unlike that of the fans on the street. However, we girls pay extra attention to players in similar positions on the field, and that dedication to learning sets us apart."
Talking about her favorite players, Shen Monroe's eyes glittered: "Messi, Dybala, Crow, Neymar, they are all world-class attackers. As a child, I was attracted by Messi's style of play and ball control skills. Growing up, I was then addicted to Ronaldo's game, and I was in awe of his mental strength and leadership. In the past twenty years, they have always stood at the top of soccer and won countless honors, they are my idols and role models for me to learn from. This World Cup may be the curtain call for their international careers, and I am paying extra attention to their performance."
"I was delighted by the performance of the Asian teams, who used their strength to beat the strongest teams in Europe and the United States with suspense and excitement."
"Of course, I also expect Argentina, Portugal and Brazil, who all have a chance to win the title."
"Recently, the Little Prince of Qatar stunt has been on the hot seat, and I find it quite interesting."
