Contest Rules Explained:
In the first round of qualifiers, the 31 teams will be divided into eight groups, with the top team from each group advancing to the next round. After two rounds of qualifying, a total of four teams will advance to the main round along with host Uzbekistan and the top three finishers from the previous tournament, Japan, North Korea and South Korea.
