On Oct. 27, the Beijing Youth Daily revealed that Guangzhou's next three tournaments may be facing a big change, with the venues either changing from home to a neutral site.
It is reported that the Municipal Sports Bureau sent a letter to the Guangzhou Football Association on October 25, in which it proposed to move three Chinese Super League (CSL) matches originally scheduled for October 29, November 4 and November 8 to other places. The three matches are the bye between Guangzhou City and Hebei in the 20th round of the Chinese Super League, Guangzhou and Cangzhou Lions in the 23rd round, and Guangzhou and Zhejiang in the 24th round. Letters have also been submitted to the tournament organizers.
As a matter of fact, the schedule and venue arrangements of the Chinese Super League have been changed several times due to objective factors. For example, the match between Shenzhen Football and Hebei, which was supposed to be held at the home ground in Foshan, was forced to be transferred to Haikou. As for the 23rd and 24th rounds of Guangzhou's home matches, which neutral zone will be adjusted to, an official announcement has yet to be made.
