Remarkable events have followed one another, and following the cancellation of the Asian Cup by the Chinese Football Association (CFA) and CFF, an exciting piece of news has come in, as if it were a blessing in disguise! Brazilian media UOL website disclosed that the CFA is actively bidding to host the Club World Cup, which was originally planned to be held in February to March. According to UOL columnist Marcel Rizzo, China is expected to host the 2022 Club World Cup and has officially entered the bidding process. More interestingly, Marcel Rizzo reveals that the CFA's ambitions go far beyond that, as they are aiming for the 2034 World Cup as their ultimate goal.
FIFA President Gianni Infantino has also spoken out publicly, announcing the postponement of the reformed inaugural Club World Cup, which was originally scheduled to be held in China in June 2021, and that the new version of the Club World Cup will still be held in China, making it the world's final club tournament! While the host country for the 2023 Club World Cup has yet to be revealed, China predictably has significant advantages in either direction. Firstly, China has 10 available stadiums for the tournament and secondly, the World Football Federation FIFA is eager for the Chinese Football Association to host the 2023 Club World Cup.
China has always been regarded as an unrivaled market highly valued by the World Football Federation (WFF)! The WFA is eagerly looking forward to China hosting top soccer events including the World Cup, however, the performance of the Chinese men's soccer team is a cause for concern. Even though the Club World Cup is still a long way from the World Cup, and even though the Chinese men's soccer team is not as strong as it should be, hosting the Club World Cup is still a breeze. Of course, whether it's the 2023 Club World Cup or the 2034 World Cup, the Chinese men's soccer team will need to work hard, otherwise it will be meaningless even if they participate.
