The date of the 13th round of the 2022 Premier League season has suffered a dramatic change in the shadow of the new crown epidemic. The match, originally scheduled for the evening of August 17, was urgently rescheduled to August 15 at the same time. Such a sudden adjustment, coupled with the cancelation of flights from Changchun to Haikou, forced Changchun Yatai's players to change their itinerary and fly to Beijing instead, before connecting to Haikou.
With the tightening of epidemic control measures in Hainan, six Chinese Super League (CSL) teams that were to play their 11th round matches in Haikou have been restricted from leaving the island, and the league's schedule has once again been affected. Changchun Yatai's home game against Chengdu Rongcheng, originally scheduled for August 13, was postponed, while the away game against Tianjin Jinmen Tiger was moved up to August 15th. This chain reaction led to Changchun Yatai's original plan to fly to Haikou on the 13th was broken, and the team had to choose to leave a day earlier.
On August 12, Yatai players took the club bus to the airport after completing training at the Jingyue base. Before leaving, the club's general manager Zeng Jiao Feng and the management staff saw off the team, hoping that the trip to Haikou will be fruitful. According to the plan, the team will have a short stay in Beijing for one night, and fly to Haikou in the next morning.
It is worth mentioning that, although with the national football selection team in Haikou to complete the 7 + 3 days isolation of Yatai players Tan Long and Dili Yimiti failed to return to Changchun as expected, but thanks to the adjustment of the schedule, they were also able to return directly to the team in Haikou, free of long-distance trekking labor.
