On August 5, a news story quickly festered on the Internet. According to The Sun, a female fan named Sophie was accidentally mistaken for England women's soccer star Kylie on a British Airways flight, a misunderstanding that led to a surprise upgrade to business class.
Sophie shared a video on her personal social media account of her experience on the flight. In the video, a flight attendant comes up to her and curiously asks, "Were you at the Women's Europa League final?" The flight attendant goes on to comment, "You look like the girl who scored the goal." Sophie humorously responded, "That's the highest compliment I've ever heard."
Sophie laughed at herself in a social media post, "Is this what it feels like to be Kylie?" She added: "Looks like a free business class upgrade tastes good, the flight attendants think I'm really Kylie."
Looking back at last week's Women's Euro final, it was Kylie who scored a spectacular goal in extra time to help the England women's soccer team turn back the German women's soccer team and win the title.
