The four countries mentioned above were selected as alternative hosts on August 18 last year after the Chinese Football Association (CFA) relinquished its hosting rights.
The AFC is scheduled to announce the final host on October 17 this year, while Australia and Qatar have put forward proposals to extend the tournament until early 2024, meaning the name of the tournament could change.
