In the evening of June 23rd, the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) unveiled the latest FIFA national team ranking list. In this round of standings, China's soccer team settled at 1304.02 points, failing to make any changes, the world ranking fell slightly by one place to 78th, while the Asian ranking also slipped, being overtaken by Uzbekistan, coming in at 11th.
Looking back at the last FIFA rankings, released on March 31st, our soccer team also accumulated 1304.02 points and was ranked 77th in the world and 10th in Asia. however, in the past scoring cycle, our soccer team did not participate in any international A-level tournaments, which resulted in the points staying where they were, and the world ranking slipped to 78th, and the Asian ranking also fell out of the top 10 and was ranked 11th.
In the Asian region, the top five ranked teams are Iran, Japan, South Korea, Australia and Qatar in that order. Notably, Qatar overtook Saudi Arabia in the latest round of rankings, climbing to No. 5, while Saudi Arabia slipped to No. 6. Uzbekistan managed to move up from 11th to 10th place, overtaking our country after a strong showing in the Asian qualifiers.
It is noteworthy that our country is in the 11th to 20th place range of the Asian rankings, alongside teams such as Bahrain, Jordan and Syria. China's Hong Kong is ranked 145th, 25th in Asia; China's Taipei is ranked 157th, 32nd in Asia; and China's Macau is ranked 182nd, 37th in Asia.
