Haikou race officially confirmed to undertake the event
Against this background, Haikou became the only target for the organizers of the Chinese Super League. on May 10th, a working group jointly dispatched by the CFA and the CFL preparatory team made a comprehensive inspection of the training and competition venues and hotels in the Haikou region. Haikou city side is also positive and optimistic about hosting the Chinese Super League tournament. After completing the procedures of agreeing to host the tournament, Haikou Match Zone finally confirmed to undertake a group of matches in the new season of the Chinese Super League.
With last weekend's selection of the three regions coming to an end, the CFA plans to submit a complete set of proposals for the start of the new Chinese Super League season to the relevant authorities on May 16th. After the proposal is approved, the tournament organizers will send out official opening notices to the clubs and relevant parties involved in the league.
New Premier League season likely to open June 3
According to the proposal submitted by the organizers, the new season of the Premier League is expected to open on June 3rd. Due to the impact of the epidemic and other uncertainties, the exact time of the end of the season can not yet be determined, but strive to complete the entire season in mid-November, that is, before the opening of the World Cup in Qatar. The season will be divided into four phases of the Premier League, due to the earliest until the beginning of June to start the game, even if the occupation of the June cycle of international match days, the season will also be very compact schedule of the Premier League. For this reason, the organizers plan to play the first two phases of the tournament in close proximity to each other, shortening the break between the first phase (10 rounds in total) and the second phase (8 rounds in total) of the tournament, and allowing four to six days for teams to complete their inter-regional transfers. It is expected that the first two phases of the tournament will be completed by mid-August.
According to the program, the opening ceremony of the new Chinese Super League season will be held in Woyuanhe Stadium in Haikou district, which may be on the evening of June 3rd. The opening match will be played between defending champion Taishan and another team in the same group. Previously, it was said that Taishan's opponent would be Chongqing Liangjiang Athletics, but the tournament organizers have not yet made a final decision.
No general admission to the opening ceremony
Affected by the epidemic, the first two phases of the new season of the Chinese Super League will adopt a centralized system of group matches, and the matches will not be arranged for ordinary spectators to enter the stadium. During the game, all kinds of staff, service personnel, news media reporters related to the game will be located in the "epidemic-proof blue zone, epidemic-proof green zone", the form and the previous two seasons of the Super League basically remain the same.
As to whether spectators will be allowed in the third and fourth stages of the tournament, or even resume the home-and-away system, there is no definite conclusion yet. However, if the whole season adopts the group tournament system, the three regions of Haikou, Dalian and Meizhou will be fully responsible for the whole season. Of course, if individual regions can't continue to hold the tournament due to force majeure factors such as epidemics and venues, the tournament organizers will start an alternative plan.
