In the early morning of April 19, the East Asian Football Confederation (EAFC) officially released a message announcing that the 2022 East Asian Football Championships will be staged passionately on the hot summer day of July 19-27 in the footballing hotbed of Japan.
The tournament lineup was revealed and the following teams will compete for glory:
In men's soccer, China, Japan, South Korea and Hong Kong will play together.
And in women's soccer, China, Japan, South Korea, and Chinese Taipei will face off in an exciting matchup.
It is worth mentioning that both our national men's U-23 soccer team and our national women's soccer team have announced that they will represent our country in glory at this tournament.
It is worth mentioning that originally this East Asian Cup was scheduled to be held in China, however, due to the domestic epidemic situation, our football federation regretfully decided to give up the right to host. As a result, Japan, the original organizer of the next East Asian Cup, took over the hosting baton in a logical manner.
