On February 27th, the Beijing Guoan team completed the final training of the winter training in Kunming, and the team will return to Beijing on the following day. After a week of rest and recuperation, the Guoan team will move to Jiading to start a new chapter of tactical training.
As in the previous two seasons, Guoan's initial winter training focused on building fitness. Despite the absence of local stars and foreign players, with only a dozen or so left in the first team, the club has three other teams training in Kunming at the same time, allowing many young players to integrate into the first team training and be examined by head coach Xie Feng and his coaching team.
On February 26th, Guoan team played a friendly match with North Sport University, which is dominated by young players. The team sent out the best lineup from the Kunming training in the first half, with Zhang Chengdong, Wang Ziming, Cao Yongjing and other main players on the field. The coaching team's technical and tactical guidelines for the first 45 minutes were clear: prevent conceding goals; strive to score at least two goals; implement high press in front of the field, and once the ball is conceded, immediately counter-robbery; and make more forward passes to minimize lateral and back passes. In order to test the performance of the players, Xie Feng set a limit of six times not to allow the opponent to enter the Guoan team penalty area. The team's performance in the first half satisfied the coaching team, not only scoring three goals, but also the opponent only touched the Guoan penalty area three times. In the second half, a number of young players who represented Guoan in the AFC Champions League group stage last season were replaced, and the team eventually won the warm-up match with a score of 6-1.
After the friendly match with North Sport University, the Kunming winter training of Guoan team also came to an end. According to the plan, Guoan team returned to Beijing on the 28th after a week's vacation, and then went to Shanghai Jiading for the next stage of training. By then, foreign aid, naturalized players and international players will also return to the team.
