On January 26th, Beijing time, the Japanese Football Association (JFA) officially revealed to the public that a security officer responsible for the security of the Chinese national soccer team tested positive for the new crown. Thankfully, no member of the national soccer team had close contact with him. This is the second case of new crowns among the security personnel of the national soccer team in the recent past, and the security personnel has already stopped performing their work.
Here is the official statement from the Japanese Football Association:
During a recent routine screening of security personnel at a lodging hotel, one security officer was found to have tested positive for the new coronavirus. The officer's pre-work checks, conducted on January 19, 21 and 23, and his post-work check on January 24, all came back negative. It has been confirmed that the security officer is no longer working as a security officer and that the staff, players and other relevant members of the Chinese national soccer team have not been his close contacts. Therefore, the national football team's preparation plan for the January 27 match has not been affected. It has also been confirmed that this person was not the person who tested positive yesterday.
