Earlier this week, a new chapter was added to the Swiss soccer landscape, as Grasshoppers FC officially announced that our soccer prodigy Li Lei has officially joined the team. Talking about the transfer, Li Lei revealed that it was the overseas journey of one of Grasshoppers' Japanese players, Jun Kawabe, that inspired him to pursue his studies across the ocean.

In an interview a few days ago, Li Lei fondly recalled, "I remember my club colleagues sharing a story with me about a Japanese player named Jun Kawabe in the Grasshoppers team. He was born in 1995 and played a solid role for Sanfrecce Hiroshima. However, in order to fight for a place in the Japanese national team, he decided to go overseas. This story touched me deeply and gave me a deeper appreciation for soccer."
