The national team will travel away to face Japan and Vietnam in these two rounds of matches, which are scheduled for 18:00 on January 27 and 20:00 on February 1, 2022, which coincides with the 25th day of the Lunar New Year and the Lunar New Year Festival.
With the first six rounds of the 12-team tournament coming to an end, our team's next four rounds of the tournament will show a pattern of one home and three away games, with the seventh and eighth rounds of the tournament being consecutive away games.
According to the authoritative information released by the AFC, the seventh round of our team's away match against Japan will take place on January 27, 2022 at 18:00 at the Saitama 2002 Stadium. The eighth round match against Vietnam is scheduled to be played at 20:00 on February 1, 2022 at the My Dinh National Stadium in Hanoi.
As of now, our team is in fifth place on the Group B table with five points from one win, two draws and three losses, while Saudi Arabia is leading the way with 16 points in the same group, followed by Japan with 12 points, Australia with 11 points, Oman with seven points, and Vietnam with zero points for the time being. According to the rules of the tournament, the top two teams in the AB and AB groups of the 12-team tournament will directly advance to Qatar.
