On October 1, Beijing time, the official website of the AFC released a message announcing that the time of the match between China and Vietnam in the 12-team tournament had been adjusted to 1:00 a.m. on October 8, which was originally scheduled for 11:00 p.m. on October 7.
In this regard, the Vietnam Football Association (VFA) revealed that the change of the match time was proposed by the Chinese Football Association (CFA) to optimize the preparation strategy and avoid the adverse impact of the hot weather on the players. The final decision was made to postpone the match from 19:00 to 21:00 local time on October 7, or 1:00 a.m. on October 8, Beijing time.
It is worth mentioning that the timing of this match is exactly the same as the final match between China and Syria in the Top 40. Recently, China's national soccer team also played a closed warm-up match with Syria, which ended in a 1-1 draw, with Zhang Yuning being credited with the goal.
China is currently at the bottom of the group stage of the 12-team tournament, facing Australia 0-3 and Japan 0-1, with zero goals and shots on target. These two matches in October will be crucial for China's national football team, which must fight for points, otherwise the prospects of qualifying will become very bleak.
