At the chronological point of September 1, a soccer transfer news quickly fermented on social media. According to German transfer administrator Zhu Yi, Almeria, a Liga B powerhouse, officially announced that Diego Sosa, a striker for former Chinese Super League (CSL) giants Shenzhen, had formally moved to their club, agreeing on a two-year deal that includes an option to extend his contract.
Zhu Yi took to his personal social media account to reveal in detail that "Diego Sosa, the former Shenzhen's foreign goal scorer, has signed a two-year working contract with his new owners Almeria in the Liga B."
Diego Sousa, the Portuguese-born rising star player, landed in the top flight of Chinese soccer in the summer of 2019 for a transfer fee of €5.4 million, playing 10 games for Shenzhen and contributing three goals. However, his career has not been a smooth one, as he has been loaned out to Portuguese sides Benfica and Famaricom. In this year's summer window, Diego Sousa ended his loan spell at SZL and released the team from the remaining one and a half years of his contract, opting instead to join Almeria to start a new chapter in his career.
